As we all know that in this present competition of smartphones , and with the introduction of many smartphone manufacturers (the best recent example is One Plus)..., It has become much harder for any individual to choose the right smartphone which suits their personality..
One important aspect of buying a smartphone, which major manufacturers as well as users neglect is the Smartphone Weight..
This means that it is good to use a smartphone with beastly powers, latest technology (latest Qualcomm or mediatek chipset or whatever), but one simply does not like that device having a feeling of using a Brick in hand!! :P. Moreover, lighter smartphones are more appealing and have a nice feeling..
This blog usually deals with the lightest and compact flagship smartphones available in the market presently... (less than 140 grams)
1. Apple Iphone 6 (129 grams)
Released on the fall of 2014 by Apple Inc., This new flagship by Apple has been the best seller by manufacturer till date. Reason being the first smartphone by Apple with larger 4.7 inch retina display, the phone also packs some top notch specs like the Apple A8 -64 bit dual core processor, A magnificient 8 mp camera, 1 GB RAM and IOS9.. But the awesome aspect about this phone most people neglect is that despite having a metal alluminium chasis, The phone is one of the lightest at present weighing just 129 grams! However, The compromises are no micro SD card slot, no dual sim functionality, and non removable battery. The 16 gb version of iphone 6 is presently available at roughly 43999 INR (694USD).
2. Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge (132 grams)
Released on the first quarter of this year, the most appealing thing of the s6 edge is the beautifully crafted edges on both sides of the screen, which also function to show notifications and other shortcuts.. One of the best looking handsets made by samsung, this phone is equipped with samsung's own Exynos 7420 octacore chipset, beautiful 5.1 inch quad HD screen, 3 GB RAM, 16MP camera (one of the best in market), and android 5.1.1 on board, The phone weights only 132 grams!
The compromises are same, no micro SD card slot,non removable battery and single sim. The galaxy S6 edge is available presently at around 49000 INR (775 USD).
3. Galaxy S6 (138 grams)
The specs of galaxy s6 and s6 edge are nearly the same. The main difference is that Galaxy s6 is devoid of the edges present in the Galaxy s6 edge, which makes it cheaper.. The phone feels premium with metal and glass coverings and light weight of 138 grams.. Galaxy s6 is presently available in market at around 40,000 INR (632 USD) for 32 GB version.
4. Xperia Z3 Compact (129 grams)
Sony has been outstanding and different from the trend, by introducing the 'Compact' series of Xperia phones which have smaller displays, yet do not compromise with specs. The latest Compact Flagship by Sony is the Xperia Z3 Compact.
Xperia Z3 compact can be called smaller Sibling of larger Z3. Z3 compacts boasts 4.6 inches HD Display, a quadcore Qualcomm MSM8974AC Snapdragon 801 clocked at 2.5 GHZ, Beastly 20.7 Mp camera which makes it outstanding in its class, IP-68 certified water and dust proofing, 16 GB expandable memory and 2 GB RAM. Xperia Z3 compact is presently available at 30,000 INR (474 USD) which is not so expensive for such powerful phone.
5. iPhone 5s (112 grams)

Released in Q1, 15 by famous chinese phone maker, Xiaomi mi4i boasts 5 inch full HD beautiful display, 13 Mp primary camera, quadcore Qualcomm MSM8939 Snapdragon 615 chipset, 2 GB RAM, non Expandable 16 GB Storage, light weight of 130 grams and Android lollipop on board.
The main problems encountered by users is the overheating and laggyness.
The main plus point for this smartphone is its Ultra-affordable price tag of 13000 INR (205 USD).
